My interior

January 4, 2016

Happy New Year! It has been a while, a very busy while. Currently trying to get over a bug I came down with just before New Years, fun fun.

This year exciting things are happening for me… Myself and my man are building our first house hence all the interior inspiration. He will build I will decorate. Thinking minimal modern boho (is that such a thing) with a slightly eclectic styling.

Off the shoulder

Having always had a weak spot for bare shoulders and sun kissed skin I am a very happy girl that these off the shoulder number are back. With billowy sleeves, raw edging and plenty of stripe to transport you to St Tropez.

Words to live by… Georgia O’Keeffe

September 20, 2015

Some words have more power than others. I recently cam across this beautiful and powerful reminder from the mouth of American Artist Georgia O’Keeffe which rung true for me so I thought I would share.

I must admit I have found a few incredible brands through Instagram and it makes it much more exciting when they are based in our homeland of New Zealand (so good to support one another). One of my latest finds is Kiwi beauty brand Pique. I was lucky enough to ask Pique a few quick questions and discovered that Pique is much much more than just a scrub, a philosophy and a way of life.
The multipurpose scrub or mask depending on your mood or skin requirements contains raw Manuka honey, Organic Cinnamon and Organic Maracuja oil, all picked for their unique qualities. While the manuka honey is anti-bacterial the cinnamon works on tightening pores (a must for me), drawing out impurities and gives the scrub that texture to buffer the skin and last but not least the Organic cold pressed Maracuja oil gives your skin much needed moisture with its abundant array of antioxidants while being anti-inflammatory, even shown to stimulate collagen synthesis (sounds good to me!) This eatable (yes you can eat it) product works on all skin types especially breakout-prone skin.

Hugh Holland

You cannot look a Hugh Hollands work and not get the immediate Lord of Dog town reference. Having seen some of his images years ago and not knowing who they belonged I was excited to finally find out who they belonged too on no other than Instagram.

Lonely girls project

May 27, 2015

The Lonely girls project by Lonely Hearts is as beautiful as it is real. I have always admired Lonely Hearts and its ability to go against the grain, producing beautiful pieces for real woman. Sticking to what they know (no padding or g-strings) and never giving in to trends.
