Celine Spring 2016

Celine Spring 2016

Celine Spring 2016. This one has been a long time coming. Ever since I saw this look on the runway. In an almost over saturated monochrome world (don’t get me wrong I love my neutrals and they make up most of the looks in this show) there is something so beautiful about bold colours. Phoebe Philo nails this all encompassing collection with her usual understated confidence.

I must admit I have found a few incredible brands through Instagram and it makes it much more exciting when they are based in our homeland of New Zealand (so good to support one another). One of my latest finds is Kiwi beauty brand Pique. I was lucky enough to ask Pique a few quick questions and discovered that Pique is much much more than just a scrub, a philosophy and a way of life.
The multipurpose scrub or mask depending on your mood or skin requirements contains raw Manuka honey, Organic Cinnamon and Organic Maracuja oil, all picked for their unique qualities. While the manuka honey is anti-bacterial the cinnamon works on tightening pores (a must for me), drawing out impurities and gives the scrub that texture to buffer the skin and last but not least the Organic cold pressed Maracuja oil gives your skin much needed moisture with its abundant array of antioxidants while being anti-inflammatory, even shown to stimulate collagen synthesis (sounds good to me!) This eatable (yes you can eat it) product works on all skin types especially breakout-prone skin.

Shorter chops

February 20, 2015

Usually a fan of longer hair (although I have chopped my hair off before) I find myself enjoying shorter and shorter chops, mainly to deal with my split ends and growing out my layers (also key for me enjoying shorter lengths, no layers and a bit of mess- can you tell).

The hair tuck

December 18, 2014

I know that it is currently Summer in the Southern hemisphere, but today and lately it just doesn’t feel like it hence looking at the hair tuck done so often with the more layered wardrobe of the cooler months doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.

The Cult-Cut

October 31, 2014

Not normally not one for celebrity worshipping, yet Lauren Conrad’s recent decision to go from long waves to the renowned short chop is fairly mentionable.

Undoubtedly the cult-cut for summer ’14/’15, the extended bob – of-sorts – not only emits edgy ideologies, but is low maintenance and unobtrusive.

Coming Undone…

October 21, 2014

Make the most of the coming summer with loose locks and loose plans. Minimal stress – minimalistic chic.

Sweet simplicity at its finest.
