Bali: Ubud

July 12, 2016

Next up in Bali is Ubud. This piece of heaven is definitely one I would come back to. We were only there for 3 days but we got a good taster of what Ubud had to offer. If you are keen to relax, eat clean delicious food and embrace your inner yogi then this destination will suit you.

This place is beautiful

Eat: For breakfast head to Watercress (conveniently across the road from Pertiwi Resort, another reason to stay there) this place is insane and I could happily eat ever meal on the menu. Think health food in the likes of Kombucha and acai bowl topped with every super food you can possibly think of. Or if you want a more traditional breakfast Salmon and the Rye with your latte for your coffee fix is delicious. At night head to Hujan Locale for a modern twist on the local cuisine. Get the Squid ink rice with crispy calamari and enjoy with a New Zealand wine.

Activities: Yoga barn to get your yoga on. Many different classes in an amazing setting and after you can refuel your body with your juice of choice. After that get your camera ready for Monkey Forest. Lots of little Monkeys around and much better behaved than the ones at Uluwatu. One place we didn’t make it to but will next time is Jungle Fish. What better way to relax than to pool hop around the jungle.

Reminiscing of Ubud is making me hungry. Will need to head back soon.

Next up Seminyak.

a x
